Pauly Posted 11July, 2014 Report Share Posted 11July, 2014 0-3=60 i got 3.6 seconds. I doubt that.. damn turbo lag. 11 seconds 1/4 mile. yeah doable. 100 - 160 (60 - 100 mph) 4.1 seconds = 0.44g's (real data )
FlatSix Posted 12July, 2014 Report Share Posted 12July, 2014 Well apparently my 964 will run the quarter mile in exactly the same time as my Jeep.......I think I will have to get both to the track at the same time to investigate further.
clutch-monkey Posted 12July, 2014 Report Share Posted 12July, 2014 4.7 seconds to 100km, sounds right.. 12.6 second quarter mile.. that may be optimistic
tazzieman Posted 13July, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 13July, 2014 Of course there are many factors that affect performance in a straight line. The online calculator is a little bit more sophisticated than a butt dyno. Grade 10 maths/physics level. Later it gets more interesting e.g. Fd (force of drag) = 1/2 rho (density of medium e.g. air ) x Cd (drag coefficient) x Af (frontal area) x V (velocity) squared And stuff like tyre choice and whether or not you bought a jeep
FlatSix Posted 13July, 2014 Report Share Posted 13July, 2014 and whether or not you bought a jeep Always a very important factor to consider!
