1q2w3e4r Posted 27August, 2014 Report Share Posted 27August, 2014 Everyone says that the later cars (the C's) are the best in terms of drivers and I have to agree it wholeheartedly makes sense. However were talking about cars that are 50+ to 60 years old they aren't going to drive like modern cars, but they feel like what driving should be. I recently did a road trip up from Victoria to Sydney in my 356A and it was an experience and joyful. Much different than similar trips in the Cayenne or the Mrs' whips. It reminded me about the passion of driving as opposed to being a passenger. I think modern cars regulate the driver to the position of passenger. Especially in terms of our speed limits
LeeM Posted 27August, 2014 Report Share Posted 27August, 2014 It was a nice car and Steve just made it nicer! I won't tell you what I paid for my 912 18months then! :-)Didn't wasserkuhl pick up an LHD 912 for less than 20k only 12 months ago? As I recall it was perfectly serviceable?
