Bora Posted 24August, 2014 Report Share Posted 24August, 2014 Hey all on Saturday I decided to convert my 911 to rwd Using all the right tools and hoist the full conversion only took 3 hours Very simple job I ended up taking out The tail shaft Front diff and the drive shafts. Saved about 35kg of weight too It's true what people say.... It's so much more fun and responsive Feels like I've gained a significant amount of power to the rear wheels too! The car just picks up and goes... no more sluggish feeling.!

Bora Posted 24August, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 24August, 2014 I believe so It doesn't feel independent at the rear I took the car out to old pac The steering felt amazing with out all the drive train at the front

f3nr15 Posted 24August, 2014 Report Share Posted 24August, 2014 Seems like what you really wanted in the first place was a GT3. Did you look at them originally?
Bora Posted 25August, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 25August, 2014 Yeah full GT3 would be my choice and i did look at them... but it was going to be my daily car too so i wanted some luxury additions in the car that you don't often find with GT3's And lets face it... a stock 996 GT3 is really showing its age now so i would have ended up modifying the cars exterior to "freshen it up".. and a whole bunch of other things I can't leave cars alone... I love them, i appreciate them and i will modify/personalize everyone of the cars i get my hands on to. Its a passion.

And a reversible switch no harm no foul - subie boys been doing it for yonks It's apparently very common in USA as well... there are so many threads about it online and especially on 6speed forums.
