Rennsport Regularity

I'm now considering entering my 72T in the Regularity at Rennsport.

I've not done this before, I do not have a CAMS licence and I have no race gear

So friends (and others:ph34r:) what do I need as a bare minimum to enter ?

Do I need an approved helmet, clothing and properly mounted fire extinguisher ?

Happy for anyone to throw their suggestions in.

Also, even happier if anyone in Brisbane or Byron wants to share a truck to get our cars down to Eastern Creek.    I am driving wioth my two boys, but may end up taking a bigger car if I enter regularity.

CAMS Licence:

All competitors and drivers must be a current financial member of a CAMS affiliated Sporting Car Club. The following are required to be presented at document verification:  Current competition licence  Current CAMS affiliated Sporting Car Club membership card  CAMS vehicle Log Book (if applicable)  Certificate of Description (if applicable)

Each competitor must hold a CAMS Competition Licence unless they comply with (a) or (b) below. Each driver entering in races must hold a minimum of a CAMS Provisional Clubman Circuit competition licence unless otherwise noted against a particular event or specified otherwise in the Sporting Regulations for the relevant Championship/Cup/Series/Trophy etc. or: (a) hold a Motorsport New Zealand Competition Licence and Tasman Visa valid for the event; or (b) hold a minimum of the highest grade National Licence issued by a foreign ASN together with an authorisation issued by that ASN for the event, noting that such drivers and competitors: (i) will be ineligible to score points in any Championship/Cup/Series/Trophy etc. connected with the event; and (ii) must receive an authorisation to compete from CAMS prior to the event. For foreign participation (other than New Zealand) please visit the CAMS website and follow the instructions. http://docs.cams.com.au/CAMS Forms/Competitors/CAMS_Foreign_Participation_in_National_Events_ 080515.pdf The Organiser confirms that the circuit to be used for this event holds the necessary CAMS National Track Licence for each of the events nominated in these Supplementary Regulations. Competitors entering the Regularity events are required to hold a CAMS Level 2 Speed licence or superior. Single event licences can be issued by the ARDC by prior arrangement, for those competitors requiring them for the Regularity event. Contact the ARDC on 02 9672 1000 for Porsche Rennsport only licencing questions.

(You just need to join a CAMS certified club (NSW Porsche Club is certified and you can join on line) and then fill in the CAMS licence form)

Vehicle Eligibility:

All Regularity vehicles must comply with Schedules A & B of the 2016 CAMS Manual of Motor Sport.

This clearly states you need a fire extinguisher, in order to do this you need to get yourself a mounting bracket, I have one of these in my Honda and it's a good adjustable kit:

You can buy the fire extinguisher from Revolution Racegear etc

You will need a blue triangle to mark the battery location (Revolution Racegear or Ebay)

Apparel

I can't read rules in the regs regarding apparel, but at the last Rennsport you needed to have FIA compliant clothing which included race suit, boots and gloves and a helmet that complies with Australian standards.  Maybe drop Alex Webster an email to clarify what the rules are
