SimonN Posted 21August, 2016 Report Share Posted 21August, 2016 So as i continue to strip down the a/c on my car, I wanted to remove the compressor bracket so I can make it as tidy as the new compressor. It seems to me that it cannot be done with the engine in place, as there is a bolt that cannot be reached at the bottom of the bracket. and the exhaust stops you getting to it from below. Or am I missing something......

tazzieman Posted 22August, 2016 Report Share Posted 22August, 2016 There is no bolt that cannot be removed with the use of the right tools ,and right German curses. I have plenty of experience with the "problem". You just have to think outside the tiny square you are presented with!

SimonN Posted 23August, 2016 Author Report Share Posted 23August, 2016 I am not able to get a photo for a while, but somebody on another forum suggests it cannot be reached without engine out or silencer being removed. Would love to prove him wrong....
