tazzieman Posted 3January, 2017 Report Share Posted 3January, 2017 Pull it all apart (Rennlist has a write up) , get rid of all the ancient grease and just keep it clean with some RP7 from time to time. You won't be using it that much in Hobart :<)

Stew F Posted 3January, 2017 Report Share Posted 3January, 2017 Phew. A technical question. I was a little reluctant to click on this topic.Didn't you see the word Sunroof?@ANF don't put any grease on it. It will quickly end up on the roof lining. Don't ask me how I know. I light rub with one of those wax lube sticks will do it.

So I use as little as possible but more often than most.
JB Posted 3January, 2017 Report Share Posted 3January, 2017 Guys don't use wd40 or the like, it will gunk up, as well as breaking down any factory lubricants or grease. Silicone spray very small amounts in the right places. If you use too much wipe with a clean cloth. Used this for many years on all different sensitive applications, never failed.directly from sunroof specialists as well.

They have been to the how to use a socket and screwdriver school, and probably pulled apart and built a few devices in their youth! They go where angels fear to tread. ANF Posted 4January, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 4January, 2017 After a bit more research and searching around I decided to go with lithium grease, see how it goes but hopefully will be ideal for the job.Cheers
