YellowDieselGolf Posted 6April, 2017 Report Share Posted 6April, 2017 I'm doing some work on the door cards of my car and need some 1/8th inch - (3-4mm) long staples.The hardware stores only stock staples with 6mm or longer legs.Spray adhesive hasn't worked very well. Officeworks, spotlight, lincraft, supercheap auto, bunnings, mitre 10, autobarn. I haven't tried specialist art & craft stores so I'll give them a shot today. Thanks for the tip! I found some 4mm paper staples but they were too weak.I then found some 4mm long ones from a local upholsterer, but couldn't source a gun. I tried a few online suppliers but couldn't find any that would suit my stapler. In the end I chopped up a bunch of 8mm staples and then loaded them individually into my staple gun. Tedious!One doors worth, cut to two lengths:Good call MFX. Edit: I tried cutting/grinding/sanding them in strips but they kept falling apart.
