reggiegums Posted 22May, 2018 Report Share Posted 22May, 2018 Looking for input on the problem I'm having. 993 Manual Carrerra S. I know I need new shocks but am holding off until I can get PSS10s. In the meantime, the car tamlines a lot but on hard acceleration, go to change the gears, the car will pull quite hard to the left. Tyres are brand new and pressures have been checked. Is this a diff problem or suspension issue?
Peter M Posted 22May, 2018 Report Share Posted 22May, 2018 Check the kinematic links and the rear suspension bushes. As for the tramlining, check for over width front tyres and incorrect tyre pressures
Airhead Posted 22May, 2018 Report Share Posted 22May, 2018 Also wheel alignment.
Skidmarks Posted 22May, 2018 Report Share Posted 22May, 2018 Depending on how hard you’re shifting and how hard it’s pulling, also check your diff.
Jason A Posted 23May, 2018 Report Share Posted 23May, 2018 I would have a look at the gearbox mount, crosmember assy and engine mounts. Make sure the are all serviceable. Is the car shifting easily or is it a bit tight under load as apprised to shifting when not accelerating hard
reggiegums Posted 21August, 2018 Author Report Share Posted 21August, 2018 This is embarrassing but i thought i should still share. Turns out it was due to different air pressure in tyres and slight alignment required. Who knew.....
