Kasra Posted 1June, 2018 Report Share Posted 1June, 2018 Unfortunately the time has come for me to sell my 3.2. The issue I have is that i'm not confident I know how much its worth so I'm hoping I could get some assistance. I'm a realist so whilst I would like to get the most I can for the car I would not like the torture to take longer than it should. Appreciate your assistance. Here as some notes on the car: I've had the car for 4 years and have had no troubles. black 1986 3.2 Carrera. Turbo steel wide body with genuine 964 kit. (purchased as is). Manufactured 09/85. US delivered and imported into Australia. Body and paint work in great condition. Mechanically excellent, and regularly maintained by RennSport Porsche specialists. Drives well, pulls hard, shifts great and sounds magic. Fully rebuilt 915 gearbox with wevo shifter kit. Very precise. RUF performance exhaust Electric windows and Sunroof with new seals. LeeM Posted 1June, 2018 Report Share Posted 1June, 2018 I'd hate to try and put a value on a converted car with non original body and rims, yet look for an original car of the same year and subtract 20-30% would be my guess. With all due respect, I have $70-80k in mind, yet I'm far from being an expert on values
Coastr Posted 1June, 2018 Report Share Posted 1June, 2018 It’s worth a bit to the person looking for that sort of thing, but worth very little to the majority of 911 buyers due to no trace of originality left. is it the original color or was it color changed as well? I’ll add - if you bought it 4 years ago you should be in the ballpark of what you paid, plus maybe a bit more.
Peter M Posted 1June, 2018 Report Share Posted 1June, 2018 $70,000. Just perfect for a turbo and modern EFI conversion.
Troubleshooter Posted 1June, 2018 Report Share Posted 1June, 2018 I'd say the buy price would be 60/65 for a sale within a month and around 70/75 if you held out 3 or 4 months, Looks good by the way! Depends on ks and proven ks history and maintenance a lot. Of course list it for around 10% more than what you want and see what happens. In saying those prices I am a prick of a buyer and will never pay more than I think it's worth to me ... and some will pay if its the right car at the right time in the right location for them. I'd list at 95 and don't be afraid to move it down accordingly
Kasra Posted 2June, 2018 Author Report Share Posted 2June, 2018 Thanks everyone for you feedback. I bought the car as it was the only 3.2 I could afford at the time and I wanted a car that I could drive on most days without having to stress about values etc. The figures listed above are exactly what I had in mind!! Thanks again!! Ill put the car for sale in the next week or two. Likely i'll put it up for high 60s.

Troubleshooter Posted 2June, 2018 Report Share Posted 2June, 2018 GLWS sale Kasra, overall besides the finer details a black widebody coupe is a likeable car (to those that have never owned black before hahhaa) seriously though, hope it goes well for you
