Coastr Posted 7December, 2012 Report Share Posted 7December, 2012 Stuffing the front full of batteries (are those lead-acid?) is certainly one way to solve lift-off oversteer. The home-EV conversion movement is certainly a trend in the US. I was chatting recently to a guy who converted a Triumph spitfire. It's all very backyard hot-rodding with the added risk of electrocution. But still an interesting thing to observe. I'll pass on getting involved, though. Which includes forking out $27k for a Porsche full of lead weights.

Coastr Posted 7December, 2012 Report Share Posted 7December, 2012 LOL on that Boxster on ebay "This Ev can pay for itself if you use it for your running around town or going to work" Yeah, no. $27k buys an awful lot of petrol, and you can easily sell a nice Boxster when you're done. A converted one with dead batteries, not so much.
