Summon Posted 4November, 2020 Report Share Posted 4November, 2020 Offered for sale by Summon (www.summon.com.au) as a private sale on behalf of the owner. List price of $85,000 ONO, more details on Carsales This 1990 944 Turbo S is one of 1251 produced by Porsche in 1990. None of these were sent to Australia - this was privately imported by the original owner when locating to Australia. This car has 120,000 km mileage. The Turbo S offered superior performance and specification over the base turbo of the day. This particular Turbo S has had 4 owners. The current ownership period has been for 8 years, all of it under the care and guidance of Buchanan Automotive - who are expert when it comes to front engine Porsches. We have here an original right hand drive, original paint in great condition (front bar has been painted to take out stone chips), original undamaged dash, original sunroof and sleeve, original seats, original tool kit and purchasing documentation/brochures. The custodianship of the care is evident on inspection (of both the car and the receipt file) and features the following key items: - Bridge rear spoiler unique to the Turbo S - Fuchs wheels with Fuchs centre caps (Porsche Centre caps also included) - Vitesse performance chip (as recommended by Buchanans) - 944S2 final drive (original final drive also included) - Lindsey dual port waste gate (Buchanans recommended) - MCS coil over shocks (again recommended by Buchanans). Basically - every improvement that can be made, while preserving the integrity of the engine and drivetrain, has been made. Importantly, every one of these changes is easily reversible should the next owner desire, although one drive of this car is all it takes to see the merits of the improvements. Standard maintenance items have been carried out and include (but are not restricted to) new: - engine mounts, - belts, - water pump, - oil seals and sensors, - brakes and continental tyres. It has all been done, you get to just enjoy the final result and Bruce or Sean at Buchanans are happy to vouch for the mechanical and overall condition of the vehicle. The vehicle is available to inspect on a lift if you wish to view the underbody. To drive this vehicle is to appreciate why they were considered a neutral balanced competitor to the 911's of the day and why they offer such a wonderful base for club competition should you choose to do so. It's not easy to find 944 Turbos (particularly the S variant) in great condition with a solid ownership history including being looked after by the right people. If you wish to view this fine example please contact for an inspection - it's being released from a small collection of vehicles and will be a great addition to an enthusiasts garage.
