LeeM Posted 22March, 2021 Report Share Posted 22March, 2021 I'm sure we've all heard the rumour before. https://www.couriermail.com.au/motoring/motoring-news/porsche-cayman-and-boxster-to-go-allelectric/news-story/d5c2cca35e66a95dd1919080a72f4bed?amp&fbclid=IwAR00teeQJl5jM_M6t6W5MXGBAePQtyfskNeHWOqpHqjFB5NWxZGnNBduOPc&nk=a6cc4b52a709295c3916fcf13759a75b-1616456872 TwoHeadsTas
Costas Posted 23March, 2021 Report Share Posted 23March, 2021 Wonder how many will miss the sounds/exhaust notes of our current engines....? For meyself, that makes up a large component of my driving enjoyment/experience irrespective of general performance. LeeM Posted 23March, 2021 Author Report Share Posted 23March, 2021 A sometimes argumentative point, yet the 4cyl turbo Cayman/Boxster copped a lot of flack for not being the traditional flat 6. EV's are gaining momentum all the time which is great for those who like sorta thing, yet like you @Costas, many love the exhaust note. Time will tell if it's been a profitable excercise for the company
Nick987 Posted 23April, 2021 Report Share Posted 23April, 2021 I'm never going to buy an EV, totally not interested.
firstone Posted 23April, 2021 Report Share Posted 23April, 2021 Cool, it'll make Cayman's and Boxsters in the fossil variety more valuable. I'm near 60 so don't think I'll have to worry about them. So many diabolical cartoon characters on the fkn road now anyway. Best get me an RS in case it's the last. Good they gave it a 4lt b4 it's end, if that turns out to be the case.
