Grimmy Posted 22April, 2021 Report Share Posted 22April, 2021 Guess they are meeting market demand and there must be a demand for a manual roof variant of the Boxster. I personally have always viewed the Boxster Spyder as a desirable low volume "halo" model for the range if this variant went global it would somewhat dilute that position. That is what happened with Macan, they said they would only sell the Macan 4 cylinder in Asia markets... we all know how that ended up! donR Posted 23April, 2021 Report Share Posted 23April, 2021 I believe China has brought in new stricter car emission/pollution rules so maybe that has something to do with it.
LeeM Posted 24April, 2021 Report Share Posted 24April, 2021 Why would anyone want to drive an open top car there with their air quality? Maybe China should just build their own Spyder, as they seem to copy everything else and get away with it 🙄
