npvpositive Posted 7February, 2013 Report Share Posted 7February, 2013 This took just 6 days to sell despite the $85,000 price tag. Stunning car! http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/porsche-911-1973-14207593?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=21&page=2&eapi=2&__N=1246%201252%201247%201282%204294963765%201216&num=15&silo=Stock&sort=~Year

npvpositive Posted 7February, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 7February, 2013 Don't know what it finally sold for but I know there was lots of interest so I doubt he came down much at all. $80k-$85k I'd guess.

Vas Posted 7February, 2013 Report Share Posted 7February, 2013 LOL $85k for a 73 Targa ? Can't wait to tell my dad. I will find out what he sold his for back in the late 70s.
Vas Posted 7February, 2013 Report Share Posted 7February, 2013 Ok, he paid about $15k for it, had it for a few years and sold it in about 79 for about $26k. He did well. That was 34 years ago. So they have not increased in value that much. Interesting.
npvpositive Posted 8February, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 8February, 2013 From what I can see $100k-$120k is the new normal for a high quality Aussie delivered 1972/73E. An S is $150k+. Take off 20% for UK delivered, take off 5% for Targa . .. $80k-$85k is spot on market.
