Harvs11 Posted 28February, 2013 Report Share Posted 28February, 2013 Will the earlier model pop-out side windows fit onto an SC ? If so, then I will look for a set to back-date mine for improved ventilation through the cabin.
wasserkuhl Posted 28February, 2013 Report Share Posted 28February, 2013 Pop outs rock. Yes you can back date. They attach via 4 allen set screws at the front and the release clamp screws in behind the window. Just need to be very careful removing the trim and then rubber on the existing ones... OZ930 Posted 28February, 2013 Report Share Posted 28February, 2013 Been thinking about the same mod for the 930, prefer air flow over air con....except in traffic. Any issues changing over to the "opening" window seals ?
Uncle Posted 28February, 2013 Report Share Posted 28February, 2013 They are awesome. As I have no sunroof or A/C they do help with airflow. I turn the blower fan on my feet windows open works quite well. If you ask me they also look cool when looking at the back of the car...

Any issues changing over to the "opening" window seals ? No, you just need to get the correct seals from Pelican Parts along with the correct frames as well as they have the hinged mounts on the front edge that allows you to fix them to the body via 4 set screws. Airflow is good reason yes. The noise is an even better reason!!

Harvs11 Posted 28February, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 28February, 2013 Thanks WK and Uncle , not so sure about Mark. No AC with fixed windows is not pleasant. Another trainspotter question-did any pop outs come in black or are they all chrome? Painting chrome is not the easiest thing to get right. Just takes a bit more prep. to get the paint to stay on.
