Jacking rear up on chassis stands

Hi all

I have to replace both rear tyres, one of which has a hole in the sidewall. I've discovered the car jack is missing something so I've used a scissor jack on the lifting platform mount. I now want to put a chassis stand in and use the jack on the other side. The idea is I just take both wheels down to get the tyres replaced rather than the frig around with the spare. Is there another point I can mount the chassis stands?

Greetings.

I Jack them up via the engine case with a block of wood to protect.

I then place jack stands at the torsion tube ends.

I have also found the following picture of good reference for using a lift. The Red X's are where to support.

I do the same as Wasser but use a polishing cloth folded over a number of times to "cup" the case. Sif I need to polish stuff anyhow.

+1

I do the same.

If angry, I will use anything.
