Niko Posted 29April, 2013 Report Share Posted 29April, 2013 Spotted this hidden in the back blocks of Malmsbury on Sunday. I know we have a couple of people who would like to restore a kombi. Think this one might be looking for a new owner to bring it back to life. Interesting snorkel set up coming out of the right rear..Couldn't get in any closer as it was a building site. Couple of nice old Volvos in there as well.
Russ Posted 29April, 2013 Report Share Posted 29April, 2013 oooh slider windows. the ones closest to the rear are the expensive ones though
wasserkuhl Posted 29April, 2013 Report Share Posted 29April, 2013 Its a type 2 and not as desireable as a Type 1. Snorkel looks interesting, may have been in a flood? I like those Volvo's though, really want a Wagon version(Amazon). Probably will have to go for a P1800 "Shooting Brake" before then end of my life though. More intriguing is WHAT IS IN THOSE SHIPPING CONTAINERS!!!!
LeeM Posted 29April, 2013 Report Share Posted 29April, 2013 Not much value in the 'high light' later bay kombi's. Plenty around in good nick for not much money. A low light (front indicators just above the bumper) are the more desirable Bays. As Wasser mentioned, type 1's,( split front window) are the go. Just get ya cheque book out and keep signing it! Then I clicked on the page 'Garden Girls'. Now that was a shock from what I thought was a humble Kombi spare parts site.
