993's to consider

Recommended Posts

I am not a big fan of 911 Cabs but this one has a very Teutonic colour combo and it looks great to my eyes.

+ Its a manual!!!!

It is very Keenly priced and the only thing I can see wrong is the Steering wheel leather needs to be freshened up, which you can buy new covers for and have your local Upholsterer fit it for you.

Imagine the noise with the roof open!!

Super cool 993.

And then theres this.

This is the Porsche that you know you'd keep forever. For Good reason.

Priced, well, ambitiously, however it is a 90k+ car , just not into the 100's.

Well worth a look, no joy rides until you've paid a deposit. I'd insist on a test drive and full PPI prior to paying any cash though.

Ohh and this one has been mentioned before, Whay hasn't it sold? Flood damaged? Bad accident?

Or do people get scared of the cost of proper Cup 2 17" wheels?

This one is one I'd be keen to look closely at.............

You want the 398 option? Easily fixed: http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/frankston-south/wheels-tyres-rims/porsche-911-wheels-and-tyres/1017324947

I guess it doesn't practically matter, but do you know if the Cup 2 wheels are date stamped like Fuch's?

I like the colour combination of the Cab.  I have always felt that the roof looked a bit untidy when folded down in the 993's.  Porsche was much more elegant with the 996 Cab design.

The C4S is Oz delivered and very low mileage.  Looks great in blue.  911's looks great in all shades of blue IMHO.  I would have thought $95k to $100k for such an example.

The last car looks good.  I would be curious to know why the stoneguards have been removed.  It's hard to avoid stone chips when the hips are so wide.

I just love 993's and also hope to add one at some stage to my garage.  Maybe its just that perspective (being a buyer and not a seller) that makes me say this, but TBH I think all those ads are on the optimistic side to some degree.

The 4s is obviously waaay off the mark with that price bracket being into the realm of a 993TT

The Cab - well its still a cab and looking at history across the 911 model ranges - they will continue to depreciate compared to their coupe brethren, about the only variant that bucks the trend in 993's is the Targa (if you can find one)  They will hold good money and look awesome.

The last one (shocking photos) still at $82k its up there, particularly as it is the base model with what looks to have no options either. Its also pre varioram which makes quite a difference
