Kerry Posted 17September, 2013 Report Share Posted 17September, 2013 OMG!!! Makes a 70's 911 racer look as stable as a rock! Clearly he was the only one out there driving a car that he hadn't paid for! LOL! Can you imagine what the others were saying as he fishtailed past? Not to mention the white knuckles of the owner!?! Pretty bloody good reflexes. That confused me too.The driver is acshly Kenny Brack in a GT40, but there is a link to DB in a Corvette embedded within the vid I posted.(Apologies if you'd flicked out to the DB vid.) Stardust Posted 17September, 2013 Report Share Posted 17September, 2013 Oh good. I was getting a bit depressed there for a moment, even though the "young" Mr Brack predates me by a few years.

Uncle Posted 17September, 2013 Report Share Posted 17September, 2013 Bit of back story to an awesome clip. Qualifying for the exclusively Ford GT40 race at the 2013 Goodwood Revival was held under wet conditions that made the 2.4-mile Goodwood Motor Circuit a decidedly slippery mess. Swedish driver Kenny Brack, winner of the 1999 Indianapolis 500 and the 1998 Indy Racing League Champion, seemingly shrugged off the track conditions. While his hands are never still for virtually the entire lap, the 47-year old Brack took command of the powerful GT40 he shared Red Bull Racing Formula 1 engineer Adrian Newey to post the second fastest qualifying lap for the Whitsun Trophy. Here’s Kenny’s wet-and-wild lap:

J.J. Posted 18September, 2013 Report Share Posted 18September, 2013 reminds me of driving the go kart in the wet on slicks, awesome fun
webrest Posted 18September, 2013 Report Share Posted 18September, 2013 reminds me of driving the go kart in the wet on slicks, awesome fun Except that thing is probably worth a million dollars and travelling at significantly higher speeds. I would hate to fill in the 'please explain card' for the owner when I decked it. Dave
Uncle Posted 18September, 2013 Report Share Posted 18September, 2013 Vaule for the car is closer to 8 million if past sales of real GT40's is anything to go by. It's Newey's car and he has bounced it off a few things so it prolly wouldn't be that hard explain to him lol.
