Carrera28 Posted 8October, 2013 Report Share Posted 8October, 2013 A friend of mine is looking to get some wheels on his car repaired/refurbished, quotes in Canberra seem quite high so I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of places in Sydney that do a good job at a reasonable price. Uncle Posted 8October, 2013 Report Share Posted 8October, 2013 I'd give Neals wheels a call. I've used another place in Blacktown that did great work a few years ago but can't think of their damn name right now.
nath Posted 8October, 2013 Report Share Posted 8October, 2013 There's also a guy in botany that does a great job but again no idea of their name right now.
Caledonian Posted 8October, 2013 Report Share Posted 8October, 2013 How much is "quite high"? If the complete wheel is painted and only have minor kerb rash you should be able to get them done for around $120-150 a wheel subject to overall condition. If they have a polished section that is damaged and or they have special efect paint (eg black chrome) then the cost will go up. If your getting quotes over the phone without the company seeing the wheels, you will tend to get worst case prices? Hope this helps

Hope this helps $200 to $250 a rim, unfortunately he needs all four redone on his car. Trying to get some places to benchmark against in Sydney as he travels interstate a bit and it's only marginally more hassle to get in done in Sydney than in Canberra.
