Russ Posted 24September, 2014 Report Share Posted 24September, 2014 Such a tough job! Porsche testing tyres for older cars that they're going to put on sale through dealerships, some awesome pictures below and details and other in the link (if you're good at ze german) - GT Purely Porsche took the pictures http://www.porsche.com/germany/accessoriesandservices/classic/galleryanddownloads/downloads/
AC78 Posted 25September, 2014 Report Share Posted 25September, 2014 On a similar note, the Ferdinand website has an article about Porsche Classic Parts shop opening in Australia. No details when or where but nice that Porsche is taking parts for old cars so seriously.
Simonk Posted 25September, 2014 Report Share Posted 25September, 2014 Can I take that as meaning Porsche are going to provide us with an option for tyres on our 16" x 9" wheels?
Russ Posted 25September, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 25September, 2014 i'd guess so based on the cars there

Peter M Posted 28September, 2014 Report Share Posted 28September, 2014 The recommendations on the US site are a little more readable - to me at least!http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessoriesandservices/porscheservice/documentsanddownloads/
au-yt Posted 9October, 2014 Report Share Posted 9October, 2014 WOW I am impressed ! I didn't know until I read / watched the video, Porsche went this far with support for older cars. I know they have Porsche Classic but to include tyres..... there are many other Marques that could take a leaf from Porsches book and it shows why Porsche has such a high level of return customers. Coastr Posted 7November, 2014 Report Share Posted 7November, 2014 I'm guilty of having old hard tyres on the car. I can definitely notice the understeer and the propensity to lock a wheel under even moderate braking. There is a massive difference with new rubber.
