poli84 Posted 6February, 2015 Report Share Posted 6February, 2015 I do have a very big soft spot for the original dial 90's that came with the 964. Although I love my Cup I's, I wouldn't mind a set of the original wheels to swap to every now and then. Has anyone got a set with roadworthy rubber lying around they want to part with? Russ Posted 6February, 2015 Report Share Posted 6February, 2015 I've got a set, not sure the rubber would pass roadworthy though
Mike D'Silva Posted 6February, 2015 Report Share Posted 6February, 2015 good news is, tyres are cheap for these size rims... well, cheapish... I kept my set, and I think I might get them re-furbed to "as new condition" to swap every few months too...
poli84 Posted 11February, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 11February, 2015 Thanks Russ, i'll keep you in mind. My mechanic has a set lying around too but again, rubber is not great. Hoping to find a set with half decent rubber but if not, i'll look for some replacement. Mike, agreed. After having a little look around, rubber for these wheels are not much at all. withers Posted 13February, 2015 Report Share Posted 13February, 2015 I like them too, they really suit the 964!
Mike D'Silva Posted 13February, 2015 Report Share Posted 13February, 2015 I just wish they were a little wider or stuck out a little more as standard. I think the side view is great. Maybe I should have just gotten some spacers instead of buying cup1 replicas....
Hughesy Posted 14February, 2015 Report Share Posted 14February, 2015 Poli I think it's a great look. Go for it. I've just refurbed and put a set on. Couldn't be happier. softens the ride a little without affecting handling adversely.http://s739.photobucket.com/user/Hughesy964/media/imagejpg4_zps186baf4a.jpg.html

See here - http://wheelenhancement.com/index.php?t=WheelDetail&id=27 I actually think D90s go really well with the updated mirrors, too -

Looks like I am on the hunt for a set of 928 Design 90s then!
