Tyre pressure gauge

Recommended Posts

I have had an Accu-Guage in the glove box of most cars I have owned for the last 10 years or so to avoid having to rely on the crappy guages at petrol stations.  Always found them to be good, just pay attention as they sell low pressure guages as well which won't read high enough for a car tyre.

From what I have read though the dial guages can be knocked out of accuracy quite easily through knocks and drops etc.  A driving instructor I know uses an electronic guage that he got from Jaycar for less then $50 and he swears by that, he reckons that's all you need.

I recently purchased a bluepoint digital gauge for around $100. A lot for a gauge but it's accurate within 1% and very easy to use with repeatable measurements. The quality is excellent. It will hopefully last me a lifetime. Purchased online from snap on but it looks like their site is currently down so I can't link.
