Standard size for 1986 911 Fuchs?

That all depends.

I suggest you contact your local Porsche centre - presumably Porsche Centre Adelaide - provide them the VIN etc and ask for  the original options.

For example, my (ex) '86 Aussie delivered 3.2 Carrera was delivered with 15x7 & 15x8.

I'm not sure what was standard but thought it might be 16x6 & 16x7.

Here is a quick rundown on what wheels were fitted either standard or as an option

The 911SC had as standard wheels the cast alloy  ATS  "cookie cutters" in 6 " X 15"   &   7" X 15" ( 78 - 81 painted in silver )  ( 1982 - 1983  with black centres )
The 911SC had the option of Fuchs ( Forged )  in 7" X 15"   & 8 " X 15"   or   6" X 16"  &  7" X 16"

The 911 3.2 ( 1984 - 1987 ) had as standard the cast alloy & painted silver "Telephone Style"  wheels in 6" X 15"  & 7" X 15"

The above 15" dia "Telephone" style wheels were semi common on the entry level spec 3.2 911 in 1984 & 1985  ( we have a customer who still has the 15" dia telephone style wheels on his 1985  3.2   911 coupe & I have know this car since it was new)
The options for the 1984 & 1985 were the same as the 911SC in regards to the Fuchs Forged wheels

Note } Not sure of the actual numbers , but the majority  ( more than 50%) of the 3.2  911 ( 1984 & 1985 ) year types that came to Australia had the optional 16" dia Fuchs Forged wheels

I just took out some archive Porsche literature I have from when I was at a Sydney Porsche dealership & I have the Porsche Cars Australia "New cars" options price lists & Options available ( in the years 1986 1987 & 1988 )

In the case of wheels it lists the following ( for Australia )

1986  }
Standard wheels are 6" X 15"   &  7" X 15" Cast & painted silver" Telephone "  style ( same as 1984/1985)
Option  1 =   7"X 15"    &   8" X 15"   Fuchs Forged wheels   at $ 1,902
Option 2  =  6" X 16"    & 7" X 16"    Fuchs Forged wheels    at $ 3,172

But the vast majority were "optioned up" with the 16" dia wheels

1987}
Standard wheels are the same as the 1986  15"  dia "Telephone" wheels
The optional Fuchs Forged wheels were the same as the 1986 ( Except price )
The 15" dia Fuchs wheels are now an option at $  2,630
The 16" dia Fuchs wheels are now an option at $ 4,388

But the vast majority were "optioned up " with the 16" diaFuchs

1988 }
The 15"  dia Telephone wheels were no longer standard ( maybe in Europe  but not here )

The Standard wheels were the Fuchs Forged 7 " X 15"  & 8" X 15"

The Option was the Fuchs Forged 6" X 16"  & 7" X 16"  wheels at $ 2,140

But the vast majority came "optioned up " with the 16" dia Fuchs

1989 }

The Standard was the Fuchs Forged 6" X 16"   &   7" X 16"

---------------------------------

Sub -note }  The Porsche "Telephone style " wheels ( be it 15" or 16" dia ) were installed by Porsche on all their models as a standard wheel ( read inexpensive ) except the 911 Turbo

The 928 had 15"  dia Telephone style wheels as standard from 1978 - 1982
The 928S had 16" dia Telephone style wheels as standard from 1980-1985
The 911 had the Telephone style wheels in the years mentioned above
The 944 had 15" dia telephone style wheels from 1986-1989 ( two different offsets )
The 951 had 16" dia Telephone style wheels up to 1989 ( two different off sets )
