CarreraG50 Posted 10September, 2017 Report Share Posted 10September, 2017 Like a lot of people on here my tyres look fine but are OLD (10+ years on the front) so starting to think about changing them,The local JAX will do me a great deal on 4 Continental's, however the rear's will be 225/55/R16 (should be 225/50/R16)Anybody running that profile, will it rub, car is standard, guards aren't rolled or anything. Any first hand knowledge appreciated.TIACheersJohn

Stew F Posted 10September, 2017 Report Share Posted 10September, 2017 Your tyre circumference will be about 68mm larger, which means you'll cover more distance per rev.
Damienb Posted 10September, 2017 Report Share Posted 10September, 2017 Bridgestone are running a campaign in September - $100 off for a set of Potenzas. You should be able to find the right size in Potenza RE003 if that's of interest.

Peter M Posted 10September, 2017 Report Share Posted 10September, 2017 + 3 for the RE003's rain, hale or shine. Recently fitted another car with them. Also scored at the top end of the recent Wheels 2017 tyre test. And well priced too.
CarreraG50 Posted 10September, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 10September, 2017 Thanks everyone,JAX have Continental 205/55/R16 for $149:00 fitted and balanced, he offered me the same tyre in 225/55/R16 at the same price, hence my question. However it all seems to hard, so probably just go with the RE003's.
