That is the best story, hadn't heard it before, kudos to the driver....the worlds a way better place for having Lauder  alive and well, I admire him. Great movie as week that Nikki Lauder James hunt movie. The ever adaptable 911 gotta love that! See, 911's are perfect for including water in their operation

The first ONS safety cars were the 914gt as pictured in the article. That car was actually one of the 3 Monte Carlo factory GT's that was bought by Recaro and converted into the safety car. Over the years the car was restored back to Monte Carlo spec and once owned by Jamiroquai front man J Kay. He sold it and it was bought back by Recaro and has been restored back to full safety car spec.
