Please help.

Badly cracked crankcase on a 964 and need a replacement.

Will also buy full motor if required.

Any leads would also be appreciated. Thank you.

Good luck.  As you probably know, 964 cases are as rare as an honest politician.

What about a 993 case instead?  I don’t have one but it should work.

I have the business card of the guy in la who gets all the singer leftovers.  If anyone had a case it would be him.  I’ll try and dig it up.

also there is someone working on casting new 3.6 cases - I don’t think they are that far away from production.

Would be a good business if someone did manage to 3D scan all these parts and remanufacture.

It is very interesting reading, and they are at the point of getting the machining right, the scanning, modelling and casting bits are all complete.  Targeting a $5k USD purchase cost for a 'new' 964 case.  The guy behind it has repeatedly said he's going to look at remaking the early cases as well once the 3.6 case is done.

The great thing is that due to 200+ Singers having been/being made, there are a *lot* of discarded 3.6 internals around now.

I ordered some OEM aluminium valve covers from Mike earlier this month, really fast processing, arrived within a week very well packaged.

Great price too!

Here's one near Brussels!  Coincidentally I have a friend in the same town (Steenokkerzeel)... who knows zero about Porsches...

Or a bare block in Germany 2900 euros and they do shipping

Thank you very much. So far these have been the best leads. I'm definitely pursuing these options.

How much does a case weigh ?  You can always get a price for bringing through as personal carry on.   But just getting it freighted ,Might not be as bad as you think.  Especially if you can wait for bit and get it sea freight
