So what is this really? A 964 or a 993 or funny business?

Hey Chris. I may have it all wrong but I have yet to see an Aussie car with the single speaker, unless I'm thinking maybe a really early version.

What month/year was your car built?

Unless Q pops up to answer the sound system question before hand I can ask him later tonight if you like.

Although I have heard if you say his name 3 times in the dark he will just kind of turn up out of thin air.

Option-490 "Sound package" 10 speaker system.

There you go. That explains it.

I think your car is a very early Aussie delivery but at some stage I would say that Porsche Australia (Whoever had the rights then) chose to make the M490 option standard.

Mate I reckon you could almost lay claim to one of the first 993 to be delivered Down Under!!!!!!

Wonder if anyone knows when they first arrived here?

That's great info on your car Chris. Used to be able to get it from a vin decoder that was online but the company that has it blocked it so its for their customers only.

Jason Pascoe at Porsche cars Australia in Victoria parade will probably be able to tell you when it was delivered and at what stage etc of the model cycle.
