Sov Posted 25July, 2021 Report Share Posted 25July, 2021 Does anyone have anything good/bad to say about Euro Tune on the Gold Coast? I'm looking for a workshop to carry out routine maintenance etc. and don't fancy driving to Brisbane each time. Or perhaps there's another independant on the Gold Coast I'm not aware of? EDIT: Or do I just take it to the Porsche stealership?
Stephen Tinker Posted 25July, 2021 Report Share Posted 25July, 2021 The OPC is not always a "stealership" for routine maintenance. If you go to their website, it quotes $ costs for individual model's minor / intermediate / major services. Their work has a 2 year warranty (not really a ++ for a routine service) plus a 12 month roadside assistance too. If you supply your own oil (as I do), is saves at least $100 from the bill. tomo, GTP911 and Sov

I said no your not, please use the mobile 5/50 in the frunk and along with the supplied gearbox oil ( factory p gearbox oil was much cheaper overseas). I mainly supply the oil it ensure the mezger's getting fed 5/50 in it and like yourself, net saving is circa $100 off the last couple of $695 minor routine service. Anything listed as requiring to be done outside of the service was done by my mechanic/ indy (I just wanted to maintain the OPC stamps) Sov

What oil are you running? I've used Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 5W-50, sold at Repco, in other vehicles and have been happy with it.

I use Penrite 10 TENTHS PREMIUM 5W-50 (100% PAO & ESTER) and ask Buik Motorworks specialist in Adelaide to service and stamp the books with their annual service. 911CSR and Sov
911CSR Posted 25July, 2021 Report Share Posted 25July, 2021 Liqui Moly amd the Penrite 10 Tenths are teh two I use. For my '03 C4S I was running 5W40 but have moved to 5W50 MolyGen to see if there are any upsides. Fishcop and sjm
Sov Posted 26July, 2021 Author Report Share Posted 26July, 2021 I've booked the car into Porsche Centre Gold Coast. There fixed price service was only $143 more than the independant, I get the OPC stamp, and a loan car. Any work that needs doing outside of the service I'll take to the independant.
