Seat Upholstery Question

Been thinking about having the seats freshened up for years and about to bite the bullet. 2 quick questions and understand it’s my choice yet appreciate feedback from people who have seen this in the flesh.

 

Have 4 choices: original pin stripes black and white, red blue and black tartan, hounds tooth insert or all black leather with centre In perforated leather.

Car is a white SC.

The car’s original design is the black and white pin stripes - don’t care in originality though have not seen in the flesh 

The car is white and thought the tartan may look good to break it all up

The leather with perforated centre I’ve seen and looks great on a white car

have a photo of hounds tooth insert and thought while hounds tooth seats look great on a king hood style seat on the tombstone style liked plain?

Anyone here seen the pin stripes or Tarran in the flesh and any feedback?

 

Also been quoted $2500 for foam restoration (read puffing it back out again) and full upholstery in leather. Is this a reasonable price?

It’s a personal choice. I was considering going with a Tartan but decided against it and I’m happy with the decision to go with houndstooth.

I think the original pin stripes or houndstooth would suit a white SC.

Just my .02 - I’d avoid the leather centres unless you have really good a/c or live in Tassie! I quite like the pinstripes on an SC, looks like a proper 80s upholstery imho.

Thanks mate as it turned out the prices from UK were great on a new set and last min I Canned the pinstripe for the tartan just to liven things up. Can always do the Pinstripes again in a few years time
