Need some advice please

I have taken my 993 to the same service place three times now. Each time it has been late,

This week, I dropped it off Tuesday with strict collection of Friday morning. (for Baw baw). On Friday morning it was evident they were only starting it, as they rang to ask if I would pay the urgent courier fee for a new heater pipe.

Then got a call on Saturday pm saying they did a road test and found a problem with the alternator, however this test was requested first up on Tuesday.

Question is (rant is now over) does this occur at other Melbourne service centre places, or am I being unlucky or do I have 'sucker' on my forehead and other jobs go first?

No mention of names here.

Thx and enjoy Baw Baw (not happy Jan)

Chris

Not acceptable that it's late each time.

Tell them to jamb the courier fee as they would have had enough time to sort it if they started when you dropped the car off.

I really really really get pissed with that sort of service or lack of!

Fortunately my guy is great and I know some other 993 guys here are really happy with their shops.

I too have been given the same treatment and as a result  my P car too has missed out on this same SMT,

I have taken it else where.

You have been way too patient and its time to move on....!!!

Hi Chris.

This is unacceptable.

I would provide the feedback to the shop owner or manager and base my next move on their reaction. If they cite 'we were busy' etc etc....then you go elsewhere, if they are truly apologetic and understand that you made specific instructions that they didn't meet then maybe they can have a 2nd chance.

I would also start to seek alternative options for a specialist. Your specialist is like a doctor or an accountant, you need to both trust and be confident in them.

Does anyone from Sydney have any recommendations for specialists in der luftkuhlers? I Know Buchannan Automotive are good but they are more for the 'wassergekuhlts'. Perhaps give them a try? I know that they do service and look after air cooled Porsches as well.
