Looking for a reputable shop in Canberra to work on my mates Karmann. Anyone know of one ,Canberra or nearby ?

If I had an air cooled Porsche, I would get it serviced at Northside Euros in Mitchell, realistically an air cooled VW is not that dissimilar.

Gareth who runs Northside Euros is a very good mechanic, he drives (and races) VWs and loves VW's, so I suspect he would love to work on a Karmann Ghia. 

The Canberra VW Centre in Belconnen is a VW specialist, I know of people who get their older VWs serviced there and they are happy with their work.

I have personally used both for servicing my water cooled 911 and was happy with their work and have recommended both to others to have older cars serviced with positive outcomes.

I think A&R in Mitchell would be the go to place for early VDub stuff in Canberra.
