Mike D'Silva Posted 1October, 2023 Author Report Share Posted 1October, 2023 fyi, the reason for the stoneguard, is I had a tiny wet spot on the bottom.. looked like it had been grazed on a concrete car park bumper and the rust from the outside in, was starting to give way. I went to clean it and cover with some JB Weld but as I wiped the rust, it start to leak a lot! So, had to empty the tank and remove for fixing. I flushed the tank and blew hot air through it for a couple hours to dry it out. I started to wire wheel away some of the stone guard around the pinhole leak.. and then uncovered a few more... wtf? Then found another one.. this one wasnt even leaking! At this point I found a few more.. So figured I may as well remove all the stone guard on the bottom just in case? That stoneguard must be pretty good stuff to keep all the fuel in! tomo and Yeatesy

Quackers Posted 2October, 2023 Report Share Posted 2October, 2023 I’d give Adrian at KBS coatings a call, excellent Porsche guy and his business specialises in underbody sealers and also makes/sells a fuel tank sealer kit.
