Russ Posted 16May, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 16May, 2013 yeah 996 is definitely not on the menu (the last modern car she owned herself was a '93 golf cabrio, so it's about the same level of technology), she doesn't like the shape of the 993 but I think it's the best option I'm going to put her in a boxster and a 964 o the weekend and see what she likes

OZ930 Posted 16May, 2013 Report Share Posted 16May, 2013 Does she (know how to) check water and oil ? Not insulting just asking, may sway the decision toward air cooled
Russ Posted 17May, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 17May, 2013 lol, yes she can actually do oil changes and general maintenance too (but she'd get it serviced by TD Automotive) really like these currently (i'm betting she'll buy something before the years out at this rate.. not that i'm pushing lol) 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 964 (only worry is the C4 bit, and the wheel sensors if they turn out to be an issue) http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/porsche-911-carrera-1991-14488198 2005 Porsche Boxster 987 S Tiptronic http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/porsche-boxster-2005-14048475
SteveT Posted 17May, 2013 Report Share Posted 17May, 2013 Russ, like the Boxster, nice wheels, nice colour, not nice price I think it's at least $5k over the top
withers Posted 17May, 2013 Report Share Posted 17May, 2013 I agree with Tomoaus the 987 S is a bit pricey. What about this one? Yes it's been for sale awhile. I spoke to the seller, he's a nice guy. The car had extensive work done to it prior to him buying it. He has a young family and doesn't drive this car anymore as it doesn't suit the family lifestyle. If you want to know more PM me, I have more info on it. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/porsche-911-carrera-1990-14883570?base=&vertical=Car&cr=7&eapi=2&__N=1282%20903%201216&num=15&silo=Stock&items=%5bMake%3aPORSCHE%2cModel%3a911%20CARRERA%2cSeries%3a964%5d&sort=default Now this next one is a Japan import. The car has been in Aus for 17 years. It's owned by a mature motor mechanic and he wants to move on some of his cars. Yes not many photos in the advert and not no write up but I don't think its right to judge a book by it's cover. Your mum owned a golf cab, so here's a nice leg up from there. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/porsche-911-carrera-1991-14797058?base=&vertical=Car&cr=8&eapi=2&__N=1282%20903%201216&num=15&silo=Stock&items=%5bMake%3aPORSCHE%2cModel%3a911%20CARRERA%2cSeries%3a964%5d&sort=default
Uncle Posted 17May, 2013 Report Share Posted 17May, 2013 Is the really nice 3.2 G50 Grey M491 cab still for sale? That would be just the shot. Well that or an F40.
