Jimmy Posted 12July, 2013 Report Share Posted 12July, 2013 How the hell did he do that in the straight. He was going straight and the back just seemed to lift and go into a slide...

Harvs11 Posted 12July, 2013 Report Share Posted 12July, 2013 What happened? He lost it on the straight. Did he have a wheel off when he braked? [edit: ] you guys are too quick This is almost a how to get it wrong video. Even a novice like me spotted a few Things to avoid. 1. Thumbs in the rim when he was about to hit. 2. Short sleeves. 3. Stayed on the track side of the car after he got out. Get off the track-you never know what's coming and your car could ignite. Belts didn't hold too well in side impact. At least he held his head to protect his neck. Lucky to walk out of that one.
Jimmy Posted 12July, 2013 Report Share Posted 12July, 2013 It really was very painful to watch, hope he didn't sustain too much injury from whiplash.
wasserkuhl Posted 12July, 2013 Report Share Posted 12July, 2013 Seems like he went left and mounted the rumble strip a little bit which un-settled the car.(as well as oil on the track?) He was very lucky to get out of that. Was a passenger basically.
SteveT Posted 13July, 2013 Report Share Posted 13July, 2013 Looks like he put the LH wheels on the grass
333pg333 Posted 13July, 2013 Report Share Posted 13July, 2013 His car dropped some coolant. Instant spin. If you investigate it further you can see the damage (or lack of it) from outside of the car. Amazing how sympathetic proper F1 barriers are. All tracks should have this stuff instead of concrete, Amco and tyres.
Dubai944 Posted 14July, 2013 Report Share Posted 14July, 2013 It's a GT3 thing... The engine spends it's whole life trying to get to the front of the car. The driver spends his whole life trying to keep it at the back. Occasionally the engine wins.
