Airhead Posted 20January, 2014 Report Share Posted 20January, 2014 I have some significant parts from one of the three cars, I just need a '68 shell to do a cut and shut. You cant do that. I've got a headlight globe from that car so I'm going to build it as the genuine article.

SteamWolf Posted 9May, 2014 Report Share Posted 9May, 2014 It sure is. One side has a longer wheelbase than the other, technically it was a fwd mid mount, and the wipers were operated by a floor pedal switch.

Zelrik911 Posted 19May, 2014 Report Share Posted 19May, 2014 I used to see this car quite frequently (in the '70s) in Melbourne, parked outside a petrol station in Kew near the Guide Dog Centre, looking very sad & run down. Story was that shortly after taking off most of the bull/kangaroo bars, they actually HIT a kangaroo !!! During the actual L to S rally they never even saw a roo. Perhaps an urban myth ????
