Tit Posted 6June, 2014 Report Share Posted 6June, 2014 Some of the commenters have a point. But there's a certain mob mentality going on in that article - and many other sale adverts... "Oh look! I'm going to make snide remarks to make myself look like an expert" "Oh..I'm going to join in so I can be in the experts group!" Just as the mind-boggling rise of long-bonnet prices is frustrating, reading the stuffy comments of the mobs of know-it-alls is more tiresome. Remember - something's only really worth what someone will pay for it. If someone pays $80k, then....that's what it's worth to that buyer...Good luck to the seller... PS: I like the term that one of the commenters used: "origiweenies"
LeeM Posted 6June, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 6June, 2014 I think most that have made snide remarks probably want it but can't afford it! You're right though Tit, it's worth what someone will pay for it. $80k though? Questionable
hugh Posted 6June, 2014 Report Share Posted 6June, 2014 Haters always going to hate.............. Love or hate it someone has put serious time and effort building what looks to be a nice car - if they can get 80k for a highly modded 912 it can only be an encouraging thing for the market? Comments at the end of such ads are why I love the internets! So many experts.
tazzieman Posted 6June, 2014 Report Share Posted 6June, 2014 I'm starting to scour the ads for 913s. I suspect they are the next thing off the mark so will get in quick as not many people are aware they exist.

LeeM Posted 6June, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 6June, 2014 Well it's got the 'Magnus signature touch' to the door handle (albeit badly done) so it's got to be worth it Personally, I like it, as I prefer custom 912/911's, so it will be interesting to see if it does sell for the asking price or close to it. I hope it sells for good coin, yet whether it's 'worth' it is in the eyes of the buyer. I wonder if R Gruppe would accept it into their little club ? This would be a better buy, and it's here in SA. I'd sell my 912 for this thing. Not as early, but... . http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-1973/SSE-AD-2727929/?Cr=5&sdmvc=
