f40-r Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 Hi Guys, I'm fairly new to this forum and so far I'm enjoying it. I've been thinking of selling my Black 2008 GT2 Club Sport. What would be the price point atm?
edgy Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 Without knowing more about it, it seem the bracket is $250-300K
Proud Member Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 I notice scudaria grazini have an 08 gt2 club sport at $260. Is that your car on consignment?. Price seems about right.

f40-r Posted 13June, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 No that is different but same specs.
Proud Member Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 260k may be a tad cheap. It will be interesting to see how quickly the grazini car sells.
D-banger Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 It is always difficult when so few like cars are available to compare. I always thought there was a relative price premium to the same model GT3. Am trying to recall the last 997.2GT3 that was up for sale. Depending on condition etc I'm thinking mid $200s. Claywong Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 Good luck on the sale of the GT2! It would seem that the GT3's seem to sell more quickly as opposed than the GT2 counterpart.

There is a massive price difference from a gen 1 to a gen 2 997. A 2008 turbo you might pick up for $160k, but pay upto $240k for a 2010 car

turboT Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 Well the gt3 above that is on for $235k is a gen2, so a gen1 gt2 must be less you would have thought unless they are ridiculously rare
D-banger Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 Need to correct myself here. Need to compare like with like. So if this gt2 is a Mk 1 then need to compare with Mk 1 GT3 + GT2 price premium. Similar to the 996 GT2 price premium over a 996 GT3.
Claywong Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 Yeah. I think the GT2 premium gap over the GT3 would be not far off. The thirst for NA seems to be high these days.

Performance and efficiency increases were big. Also pdk on the turbo which is incredible. Assume the gt cars had manual though...them purists love to get there their hands on a stick
edgy Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 It's different only for turbo 7.2, which got the DFI block T The GT2 still run the air cooled block aka Mezger , same as the GT3. The 991 GT3 is the first GT car to run the DFI block
spiller Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 Edit: beaten by edgy gen 2 GT3GT2 is same/similar engine as 996 and 997.1 with increased capacity to 3.8. Apart from minor differences to ancillaries and some internal components, the "frame work" is the same right from 996.1 GT3 up to the 997.2 RS 4.0. That is, same GT1 block with the Mezger name attached. From memory there was a white 997.1 GT2 up last month that moved fairly quick. I think they were asking 280K. turboT Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 well here is your competition (unless it is yours?). This dealership is in Sydney just off William Street. Looks like valuations above were about right, although trade in/private sale would be less http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/dealer/details.aspx?R=AGC-AD-12797360&Cr=

turboT Posted 14June, 2015 Report Share Posted 14June, 2015 Just read that only 1200 were made. Oh, $425k when new.. Also doesn't seem to have been a ge2 version as only sold for 2 years.
