DaleAlford Posted 16May, 2016 Report Share Posted 16May, 2016 Quick question re battery usage. If I turn my ignition off and am sitting in it with the PCM on listen to the radio ( school pickup etc ) , I only get a few minutes before I get a message about power drain and turning off power sources. Is this normal, or should I be able to listen to the radio etc for a while .I understand it is more than just the radio, the air cond system is still partially allowing for recirculation of air etc, but it seems a very short period of time.Just thought I'd ask before I go looking for a battery issue that may not exist.Cheers Dale
Redracn Posted 16May, 2016 Report Share Posted 16May, 2016 Sounds normal. Both sports cars and my CGTS would only run the radio etc for about 10 minutes without the engine running and the ignition switch in accessories position.

Shady Speedway Posted 19November, 2016 Report Share Posted 19November, 2016 I'd be getting the battery tested.

WOKA Posted 6December, 2016 Report Share Posted 6December, 2016 yeah looks really simple to get at too!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0TCOvisKEAWTF..!! And play in reverse for re-installation. Too bad if your battery is flat and you cant adjust the electric seat.
