SC 3.2 Posted 15June, 2016 Report Share Posted 15June, 2016 Does anyone make / supply an adaptor to attach a Sebring or California style mirror head to the standard Flag Mirror base. The factory base covers a large area of bodywork and with the numerous holes hidden there makes an expensive job to fill these in to mount an aftermarket mirror as mentioned in the thread. Thanks Pete. clutch-monkey Posted 16June, 2016 Report Share Posted 16June, 2016 there is a thread on pelican parts about it. you can fit them to the flag mirror bases yourself.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/509254-flag-mirrors-gone-welcome-vitaloni-sebring-mach-1-mirror-2.html

clutch-monkey Posted 16June, 2016 Report Share Posted 16June, 2016 mine is not perfect (i need to play with the washer sizes). have used black race tip to stop them rotating haha.
LeeM Posted 17June, 2016 Report Share Posted 17June, 2016 I saw some of these mirrors on a 911 rally car today. Man theyre small, but I have to get some! He had sikaflex'd them on with no drilling of holes. No chance they're coming off in a hurry!
clutch-monkey Posted 17June, 2016 Report Share Posted 17June, 2016 they are utterly useless, but i figure if i drive fast enough i won't need to use them as much LeeM and Steve88
LeeM Posted 17June, 2016 Report Share Posted 17June, 2016 I didn't think they'd be that useful. I'd prefer some Talbot style, but that's for another topic
clutch-monkey Posted 17June, 2016 Report Share Posted 17June, 2016 the one on the driver's side is actually ok-ish, can at least help a little bit, but with a six point cage, that one on the far side is no help at all! LeeM
LeeM Posted 17June, 2016 Report Share Posted 17June, 2016 Probably be more effective to fit a lipstick camera on the door with a screen on the A pillar :-)

Chern911 Posted 20January, 2022 Report Share Posted 20January, 2022 Might be a bit late to the party, I've read this thread a few years ago and developed some mirror base adapters for Porsche door holes. Plug and play using original porsche gaskets and parts with some titanium bolts, and no patching / drilling needed to our precious metals. : ) Stockydude and YellowDieselGolf
