Dear PFA Members,

Extending an invite for fellow PFA folks to join us in RWB's first car in Australia. We have invited Akira Nakai of RWB Japan to build the first car here in Australia. Firming up the dates as we go, it should happen on 29th July to 1st August. Not knowing whether you have seen the internet videos circulating around, Nakai-san transforms these cars without a pen and paper and in a short amount of time. There is also a cult following in these cars around the world.

It's getting really exciting and we sincerely hope you could make it for the build, especially on the first and the last day when the car gets fitted and completed. We will be throwing a small party for Nakai-san on the final day (1st August, 1pm) to thank Nakai and everyone involved in building the first car. Looking forward to see you there!

Whats the process of actually seeing the build? Limited numbers standing around in the background? Would be an interesting process to watch but assume it takes at least a few weeks and includes a shit load of cigarette breaks :) You did inform him of the OZ workplace rules in terms of smoking...?

Hi folks! Thanks for the interest, received a few emails over the weekend about coming down for the build, I believe you were one of them.

Just sharing the love for Porsches:

Day 01 - measure and set, potentially the cutting ceremony

Day 02 - Remove and refit all body work extensions, clearances

Day 03 - Remove and refit (again, but with more adjustments), wheel and suspension alignment settings

Day 04 - Test drive (we are throwing a small party...)

Auto Racing Technik has limited space, hoping it won't be more than 100 people. The first build in LA attracted about 400 people in the afternoon... Nakai builds about one car a week on average, about 40 cars a year at most. Quickest turnaround was 2.5 days...

  • 4 weeks later...

Dear PFA folks,

The build has shifted by a day to 30th July as RWB Japan will be resting from the 12 hours Idlers endurance race in Motegi.

Our farewell party on the 1st of August remains!

Cheers! Any questions get in touch at chern911@gmail.com

Chern.
