exLotus Posted 18November, 2016 Report Share Posted 18November, 2016 Just did my rwc today at the local mrchanic. He said i needed to change all rotors and brake pads. He can source Zimmerman rotors for the front and protex rotors for the rear. They will charge $1200 for supply and install of rotors together with pads.Does that seem reasonable? I have not done one in a long time and i want to avoid shops applying the porsche tax.
firstone Posted 18November, 2016 Report Share Posted 18November, 2016 That's a good price if cross drilled, unless you want to import yourself. Only based on my research.
Mike D'Silva Posted 18November, 2016 Report Share Posted 18November, 2016 That is a very fair deal. Does your car need brake pad wear sensors too? When the aus dollar = us dollar, I imported a set of rotors/pads and sensors for my Cayman S.. and installed myself. From memory, that cost me a grand or so.At $1200, you dont even have to get your hands dirty!
