BJM Posted 12December, 2016 Report Share Posted 12December, 2016 After getting bitten by the track bug I decided to get something that I could turn into a more focused vehicle fit for purpose rather then keep flogging the Green Machine to death. As much fun as that has been.Without really knowing what class I wanted to compete in I started looking at options. The only thing I knew is it was going to serve as my daily drive for a while whilst I built it up. My first thought was to go for something like a WRX. Fast & reliable but I just couldn't pull the trigger. In the back of my mind I knew that I didn't really want a 'modern' car.I came to the conclusion that that I just wanted to race a Porsche, so why not.Started looking, tried to buy a couple, missed couple. You know how it goes. Then a member & mate on here said he was selling a great little car that seemed to fit the bill.So I bought a 924!Edgy had rescued it from a shed down south & brought it back to life.%5BURL=http://s288.photobucket.com/user/_bjm/media/4BA48B4E-0657-4FA2-AF9C-C52E52CE2D18_zpsudajxnlx.jpg.html]I flew down to Sydney & with extreme confidence drove it the 2500km back up north. What a great way to get to know a car. Big thanks to Rob for picking me up from the train station. You know I look every other day at 924's since buying this one and I've never seen an NA example as good as this, also people approach you with this car and want to talk about it, no one wants to talk to a wanker in a GT3. Since I've had the car the Navigator has taken to claiming it as hers. So on the weekend did our first His & Hers Cars & Coffee.
