Carrera28 Posted 20February, 2017 Report Share Posted 20February, 2017 Copied from: http://flatsixes.com/cars/tuned-porsches/964-rat-rod-danton-arts-kustom/Some will call it an abomination, others will want to kill it with fire, while still others will look at it longingly and wonder how they can get their hands on one.Pictures of this particular Porsche "rat rod" started making the rounds on Facebook this weekend. It took us some time to track it down, but track it down we did. Currently on display at the Monaco International Auto Show, this Ford Big Block Powered rat rod is the creation of the French chop shop Danton Arts Kustoms.Apparently it started its life as a 964 Targa and was chopped and stretched from there. What's unknown, and has some "purists" up in arms, is what was the condition of this Porsche before its transformation?I say who cares! The guys at Danton obviously don't and their other works is incredible, if you're into the whole rat rod thing that is.It seems like the project has been in the works for a little less than a year, but there's little official information, other than pictures, on the Danton web-site. LeeM Posted 20February, 2017 Report Share Posted 20February, 2017 I was the one who wants to kill it with fireI have much respect for the blokes talented enough to build it, yet the Porsche fan in me says that the body was good enough to be saved for something elseEach to their own

Pokiou Posted 23February, 2017 Report Share Posted 23February, 2017 im not a purist in anyway. But i think its the wrong sort of car to use as a rat rod. But the guys got skill.
Coastr Posted 23February, 2017 Report Share Posted 23February, 2017 I like the chop - would be good to see that incorporated into a custom car without the rod look of massive wheels and engine hanging out. A chopped 911 with wide guards would look pretty out there.
