Porsche radical customs

There has been a lot of Porsche customs over the years, the euros seem to love them. Gemballa, Strosek, Ruf, etc, etc http://1000sel.com/index.php/porsche-911-930-avalanche

The entry price of a Porsche plus what is needed to have them modified would be very prohibitive in Australia, plus what has been said, most like what is available from the factory....

Hmmm, interesting! Might have to look into that here in SA. Cheers for that

Chill. They're ADR approved.  People proliferated the same story about Centerline Autodrags years ago.  I originally had them on my Camaro when I got it. When I took it to the vehicle inspection centre to change it to SA rego they passed.  I specifically asked the dude, and he said no problem.

phew, I my 'minilites 'are actually the same, performance Superlites also, on the Capri fitted about 15 years ago, and  English JBW knock offs purchased about 6 months ago on the Escort. I thought the Superlights at least were ADR ok also, being Adelaide made originally.

I like the Compomotive ML versions, in 15" they still have 8 spokes instead of 10, but would be more aggressive look.

Sorry, for diverting the thread, wheels are such a personal thing, thanks for the clarification on the above.

I can remember looking back at early 912 & 911 shape thinking Ho hum. I must say however my view today is different- I love the shape. I suspect that is why so many were forward dated 964 RSR and 993. Porsche themselves have made quite a lot of variations. Every year model of 911 had a serious floor, either cosmetic or mechanical. I like most of the modded 911, I had a 78 SC built into 993 RSR 19 years ago now. I am also sure we haven’t seen the perfect 911 hotrod yet. Keep em coming I say - makes the world interesting.

My view on the driveline is a bit more conservative, must be factory base - no LS conversions for me - Porsche driveline, brakes and suspension is what makes the car.

Mmmmm, some I like, some I don't. Some don't like backdates (heathens!) yet I understand why people prefer a stock car to one that has been changed cosmetically

The Rothmans liveried RWB is bloody stunning in my eyes

Interestingly this car in an NZ based RWB, not KL. It is the Blue car that was over here for the film last year. If you get a chance, have a look at the plate RWB 1 NZ

There is also a very nice Martini RWB if you look it up

I personally love them, pictures don’t do the car justice - you need to see one in the flesh if you get a chance
