Should mount directly to STD GT3 headers (deleting the STD cats and muffler system). Dramatically reduces weight in the rear end + adds looks and sounds like a proper 996 GT3 should. I believe the noise is still road legal, although I've never had the need to test or certify. Noting that I've never had any issues with police and/or track day noise restrictions on either my MK1 or MK2 996 GT3. Only thing to note is that you will need to also purchase a new Cup style bumper with centre cut-out to suit as opposed to the 2 x side outlets on the STD bumper.
