Hounddub Posted 19August, 2013 Report Share Posted 19August, 2013 Alan is the best. Have used him for years with work. http://www.uniquecarcarriers.com.au/about.php
LeeM Posted 19August, 2013 Report Share Posted 19August, 2013 As brief as possible I recommended a car carrier to a mate for a pretty rare car in Oz, a LHD 1956 Karmann Ghia Low Light, to be sent from Adelaide to NSW. All good till he went to pick it up, and 'apparently' there was a hurricane force wind that blew the drivers door open and bent it backwards. Someone obviously left the door open when reversing. That kinda damage anyway. A long and painful insurance experience for the KG owner ensued. It's now standard custom when one is looking for a car carrier on the VW Melburg Luft forum (of which Mark, aka JNR356,aka smartass is a moderator) for me to recommend a suitable company for a bit of a laugh, so Mark in his infinite tongue in cheek wisdom thought he would share it in a subtle way on here. Airhead Posted 20August, 2013 Report Share Posted 20August, 2013 Send the furniture and family car by train. Put the family on a plane. Get hold of a good mate and do a road trip to remember in the 44 Mate can help unpack the boxes for you and fly home. Just an idea really.
