Guest hepkat63 Posted 8December, 2013 Report Share Posted 8December, 2013 Hi All, probably another silly question, but I am very curious to know how many of you actually drive your Porsches on a daily basis - particulary the older models (1976 - 1990). Like I say, just curious.
hugh Posted 8December, 2013 Report Share Posted 8December, 2013 I used mine as an only car/daily for 2-3 years when I first bought it. I was not commuting a large distance or in heavy traffic very often though..............I did not mind it at the time but after now having brand new cars as daily drivers I cant say I would go back. (as much as I would like too!)
Pauly Posted 8December, 2013 Report Share Posted 8December, 2013 I drive mine all the time. She gets a little thirsty and a little hot at times but thats because of the extensive engine modifications. When she was in factory-ish conditions, excellent DD. I'm not saying mine is bad now, its more of a race car feel which i enjoy more!

Stepo Posted 9December, 2013 Report Share Posted 9December, 2013 Used mine as a DD for four years, only let down once when the alternator gave up. 40km round trip, pack an extra T'shirt for hot days, made going to and from work a pleasure

clutch-monkey Posted 9December, 2013 Report Share Posted 9December, 2013 when my daily drive was against traffic flow and mostly highway, yep i'd take it out a lot. now that i spend more time stuck in traffic/traffic lights/roadworks, prefer to get the daily driver all filthy (plus, aircon)
