Written Posted 5November, 2014 Report Share Posted 5November, 2014 I have alerts set up on Carsales and checked my email today. I was really excited until I clicked the link and found out it'd been sold! Who's the lucky bugger who scored it? I didn't think it'd last long at $32,000 neg. Peter M Posted 5November, 2014 Report Share Posted 5November, 2014 Still a mystery but was discussed here: Caught my eye as I'm starting to have hot rod fantasies stemming from watching to many Magnus videos....

smule Posted 5November, 2014 Report Share Posted 5November, 2014 The seller mentioned to me he had an offer of 37 sight unseen ... My money is on a re-appearance in a few weeks with a 4 in front of it.
Dreamr Posted 5November, 2014 Report Share Posted 5November, 2014 I'd back your theory Smule ......I was thinking to do the same thing .... buy it with a 3 and sell it with a 4 .....Ahhh .... capitalism at its finest .....
G5032 Posted 5November, 2014 Report Share Posted 5November, 2014 I reckon it will reappear in the high 4's if not in the early 50's
Dreamr Posted 5November, 2014 Report Share Posted 5November, 2014 I think if it was bought by a dealer, "maybe" 5's ......If privately bought, mid to slightly higher 4's would see a quick flip .....

Coastr Posted 6November, 2014 Report Share Posted 6November, 2014 It did have high k's with no rebuild mentioned. 280ks I think I recall. I think the seller was discounting the asking for an expected rebuild. but what would I know, I'm just another carsales theoriser who knows nothing about the car or the transaction. tazzieman Posted 6November, 2014 Report Share Posted 6November, 2014 but what would I know, I'm just another carsales theoriser who knows nothing about the car or the transaction. You mean another expert like me! Like you however I would be very wary of any high performance car at 280,000km . Engine rebuilds on our beloved aircooleds are not cheap, as someone will find out.
