edgy Posted 20November, 2014 Report Share Posted 20November, 2014 Apparently there's been a few enquires in bringing them over. But they has issues why they need to pa road tax for them. It was going to cost them 1.3m all up. I remember reading this a while back. I wouldn't want to pay road tax either, I will if you let me register it would be the answer I am sure! Coastr Posted 20November, 2014 Report Share Posted 20November, 2014 I wouldn't want to pay road tax either, I will if you let me register it would be the answer I am sure! It wouldn't be road tax - it would be LCT and import duty - long before we even start talking about getting it registered (which clearly would be impossible). Road taxes and registrations are states business. LCT and Import and GST are the Feds taking their swipe first. This issue exists even on race cars - even on unregisterable race cars, they still put their hand out for some luxury car tax. It's madness, but there you go. Any high value car that leaves these shores is essentially on a one-way ticket.
